Originally from Zhejiang province in China, Gunpowder tea is the traditional base for mint tea. Its leaves are dried after harvesting to avoid fermentation, then rolled into pellets resembling gunpowder.

This golden colored tea has a light flavour that is aromatic and floral, with a hint of Muscat grape. The unfermented version offered here emphasises its fresh notes.
